Maša's artistic practice centres on storytelling through participatory projects and visual patterns. Through interactive work, [they/he/she] explores the collective human experience, creating spaces where viewers become active participants in shaping the narrative. The meaning of the work is never static but adapts through the interplay between the medium and the audience, fostering a social dialogue.
Drawing inspiration from rituals and myths, Maša reflects on their teachings and uses them to counter contemporary social conditions. Soil has become a recurring material in [their/his/her] participatory installations—always borrowed and returned. This material serves as a grounding force that initiates physical connection and acts as a medium of equalisation. Maša frequently collaborates with architects and artists on international public projects, developing in-situ artistic interventions.
Using visual patterns and painting mediums on the wallpaper, Maša investigates how repetition alters meaning. By transfiguring family photos and historical media into decorative patterns, she revisits imagined life before the Bosnian Civil War conflict in the 1990s and its complex heritage.
