The design for the floor and wall surfaces in the entrance hall of the Folie Manuguerra building draws inspiration from the building’s striking mirrored facade. This facade not only reflects but also amplifies the surrounding natural landscape, creating a dynamic interplay between architecture and nature.
The idea behind this intervention is to extend the reflection of the outdoor environment into the interior of the building, blurring the boundaries between inside and outside.
By incorporating elements that evoke the surrounding vegetation and the reflections on the glass surface, the design aims to create a seamless transition where the indoors seem to extend into the natural world outside. The floor and wall surfaces serve as a continuation of the reflective aesthetic, bringing nature’s colours, textures, and movement into the space, thus enhancing the experience of entering the building.
